Indian Security Advisor meets Chinese diplomat to finalize Chinese President’s India visitBeijing: The National Security Advisor of India Ajit Doval meets with top Diplomat and State Councillor of China Yang Jiechi on Tuesday. They had met to finalise the arrangement of visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping in India which has been expected next week.

Doval arrived Beijing yesterday as the Special Representative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make final preparations for Xi’s visit.

This meeting had been took place at the Diaoyutai Guest house to finalise the schedule and agenda for Xi’s visit.

During the welcome of Doval, China’s Special Representative for Sino-India border talks, Yang said, “We believe that with specific efforts from both sides President’s visit will be a full success and bilateral relations will be taken to higher level.”

Yang had also appreciated his contribution to the bilateral ties.

It had been expected that Xi may announce major Chinese investments as well as hold talks with Modi on border dispute as well as China’s plans to revive a number of Silk Road Projects including the Maritime Silk Road during his visit to India.

Initially, Xi was to pay a three-day visit to New Delhi from September 17.
