New Delhi: Chief Minister designate of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and AAP leader Manish Sisodia on Thursday met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to invite him for swearing-in ceremony of him in Ramlila Maidan of Delhi on February 14.
Meanwhile PM Modi is unlikely to attend the swearing-in ceremony of AAP chief Kejriwal.
It had been reported that PM Narendra Modi will not be attending Arvind Kejriwal’ swearing in ceremony on 14 February.
Talking to reporters outside 7, RCR, Sisodia said that the PM will not attend Kejriwal’s oath-taking ceremony on February 14. He also said that they demanded full statehood for Delhi and the PM has said that he will ponder over it.
PM Modi has been expected to be attending an event in NCP supremo Sharad Pawar’s Baramati constituency on the same day.
Notify that Delhi CM-designate Arvind Kejriwal in an audio message released this morning asked every Delhiite to come to Ramlila Maidan and join him in the oath-taking ceremony.
Kejriwal said, “This is your swearing-in ceremony… every Delhiite will be CM.”
Kejriwal said his government will do all it takes to make the city a much better city. He also congratulated everyone for winning the election saying “those who keep trying will never face defeat.”
