#Sheila Dikshit blames #Maken for #Congress defeat in #Delhi #Assembly #polls New Delhi: Former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Thursday put the blame on Ajay Maken for Congress’ complete rout in the Delhi Assembly Election 2015. Speaking two days after the Congress failed to even open its account in the Delhi polls, Dikshit said, “Ajay Maken was campaign head.

The campaign should have been aggressive. It should have conveyed the work done by the party. It may be recalled that Maken was the face of Congress in the just-concluded polls and observers have pointed out that the party failed to play up the good work done by it during its 15-year rule.

“What can I say about Ajay Maken, I pity him,” Dikshit said, adding, We had got a sense that we would lose badly. There was lack in our strategy, maybe in totality the party was demoralised,” the former CM said further.

She, however, added, “Undoubtedly, we lost badly, but I don’t agree with this that Congress is finished in Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party won 67 seats in the Delhi Assembly while the BJP bagged the remaining three.
