Kasuri  book Row: Shiv Sena compares Kulkarni with Kasab, calls him a Pakistani agentMumbai: The Shiv Sena appears in no mood to relent in its opposition to Sudheendra Kulkarni over his support for Pakistan’s former foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri’s book launch in Mumbai.

In a hard-hitting editorial, Sena mouthpieceSaamana has called the veteran journalist a Pakistani agent, saying that with people like Kulkarni present in India, Pakistan need not send those like Ajmal Kasab.

The editorial went on to attack the BJP and termed Kulkarni as the man behind the cash-for-votes sting. Kulkarni, who was a top aide of LK Advani, was also blamed for the former deputy PM’s Mohammad Ali Jinnah fiasco.

Senior Sena leader Sanjay Raut also lashed out at Kulkarni for hosting the book release function and added that Sena would continue its crusade against Pakistani artistes and cricketers visiting Mumbai. Raut alleged that as Pakistan’s foreign minister, Kasuri had conducted a hate India campaign.

“We will continue to oppose Pakistan as long as it continues to attack India from across the border. This was the stand adopted by the late Balasaheb Thackeray. Under Uddhavji’s leadership, the party will take the same stand,” said Raut.

Sena spokesperson Arvind Bhosale said there was no need for Kulkarni to host a second book release function in Mumbai as the book had already been released in New Delhi recently.
