BENGALURU: A woman at the wheel of a Honda City car rammed a cab and a scooter in Bengaluru on Sunday night. While the cab driver and scooterist claimed that she was kissing another woman sitting next to her, the woman driver told police that she was blowing air into her friend’s eye as the latter had complained of irritation in it.
A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the woman, aged about 30, an employee of a private company . Alcohol test conducted by police returned negative result.
Ola cab driver Shekhar Ramachandra, 35, said a car hit his vehicle from behind around 7.30pm. “I got down to check the damage. But no one came out of the other car,” he said. Meanwhile, the scooterist, Farhan Ahmed, came running and told Shekar that the woman had hit his scooter too. “The woman sitting in the driver’s seat was kissing another woman. They did not stop and apologise for the accident,”Ahmed said.
Shekhar asked the woman at the wheel to get down and at the wheel to get down and pay for the damage. “The woman blamed me for the accident, saying I was slowly ,” he said. The woman then got back into the car and sped away. However, Farhan and Shekhar, who got away with monor injuries, chased the car, caught up with it and informed cops. Another woman was in the rear seat of the car.
Shekhar has lodged a complaint and all three vehicles have been seized.
