Ajmer: Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Saturday offered a ‘Chadar’ on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Ajmer Sharif Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.
While terming the dargah as a symbol of India’s great spiritual tradition, Naqvi read out the message by PM Modi which said, “Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti is a source of inspiration for social, cultural and communal harmony in India and world.”
We will have to strengthen India’s national unity and fabric of social and cultural harmony at any cost,” the Prime Minister’s message further read.
The Prime Minister conveyed greetings and best wishes to Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti’s followers across the world, on the occasion of his annual Urs.
In a message, PM Modi said that Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti is a symbol of the great spiritual traditions of India. He said Gharib Nawaz’s service of humanity would remain an inspiration for future generations. He offered his best wishes for the successful conduct of the forthcoming Urs.
During his stint as Gujarat Chief Minister, PM Modi had sparked off a controversy after he refused to accept a skull cap.
