UP police decide to give 'Z' security to CM KejriwalDespite Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s repeated denial to accept a security cover, Uttar Pradesh police will deploy a Z-category security for him from Monday. According to a security plan outlined by the Ghaziabad Police, 30 personnel would be deployed round-the-clock to protect Kejriwal.

10 police personnel have been posted outside his house and two personal security officers and a pilot car with five personnel will be sent by Monday morning, senior police officers said to news channel.

The UP government approved Z-category security for the Delhi chief minister, who has so far turned down several requests by Delhi and UP police to accept security.

AAP media coordinator Deepak Bajpai said, “We are not going to take any security either from Delhi or UP police. Arvind Kejriwal has strictly denied any security cover. Our stand on security is clear from day one.

Officials said the home department had demanded a detailed report of the security of Kejriwal after the attack. Sources said home department has also instructed the Local Intelligence Unit at Ghaziabad to be on vigil, especially after an attack on the AAP office.
