Sunil Gavaskar said, Indian batsmen need to learn from Virat Kohli Formal indian opener sunil Gavaskar is of the opinion that the primary reason India lost the first ODI to New Zealand, was because the batsmen failed to put together good partnerships. He says that the openers need to practice facing short-pitched bowling because they will face plenty of it. Gavaskar credits New Zealand for having played well and felt that they were the better team throughout the match. He also praised Virat Kohli’s innings and rated him as the main threat to opposition bowlers. Gavaskar hopes that the management will take some tough decisions as far as the team selection is concerned ahead of the second ODI.
