2 KJP MLAs denied merging with BJP in Karnataka

2 KJP MLAs denied merging with BJP in KarnatakaBangalore: 2 MLAs of Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) had revolt from the decision of former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and denied to merge with BJP.

Two of the six MLAs have gone against the party diktat and defiantly remain in the KJP. The two MLAs from the North Karnataka region of Gulbarga and Yadgir are worried that the large number of minorities in their constituency will not like it if they went with the BJP.

“Two-thirds of the MLAs have joined the BJP. But two of us (MLAs) have not. All along I have been a Janata Party man. It’s difficult for me and my friends also to go with the BJP. Of course, there are a large number of minorities in our constituencies. There are two opinions, pro and against. We have to discuss,” said MLA of KJP BR Patil.
