Lok Sabha election 2019: 18.12 % voter turnout in West Bengal till 9 am.WestBengal: Voting is currently underway for the first phase of Lok Sabha Election 2019 on Thursday, April 11. Ninety-one constituencies spread across 18 states and two union territories will vote in this initial phase. Thousands of voters queued up in front of their polling stations to cast their franchise. Reports of EVM malfunction is also coming in from some polling booths.

States going to polls on Thursday, April 11 are Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, and UTs Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep. The results of the general elections will be declared on May 23. The EC has said that timing of vote would be from 7 am to 6 pm in general constituencies, from 7 am to 5 pm in northeast parts of the country except Manipur and Nagaland where it would be till 4 pm.
