RSS workers can’t chant Namo Namo: Chief Mohan Bhagwat

RSS workers can't chant Namo Namo: Chief Mohan BhagwatNew Delhi: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has cautioned its cadres against crossing its limit while working for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said it’s not the organization’s job to keep chanting Namo Namo, the Indian Express said on Monday.

This comes amid reports that the RSS, known as the BJP’s ideological mentor, is striving hard for the success of the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and his Mission 272+ and has started openly exercising control over the saffron party.

Hum rajneeti mein nahin hain. Humara kaam ‘Namo Namo’ karna nahin hai. Humein apne lakshya ke liye kaam karna hai (We are not in politics. Our work is not to chant ‘Namo, Namo’. We must work towards our own target), the Indian Express quoted Bhgawat as saying.

Humari apni maryada hai. Humein maryada nahi todni hai (We have our own limits. We must not cross our limits), Mohan Bhagwat said while replying to a query about RSS’ role. It was more important to work in a detached manner under the present circumstances, He said

The RSS chief, however, justified the Sangh’s efforts to bring the BJP to power keeping the “national interest in mind. Iss samay sawal yeh nahi hai ki kaun aana chaiye. Bada sawaal ye hai ki kaun nahi aana chahiye (Today the question is not about who should form the next government. The bigger question is who should not form the next government” he said.
