Mohali: After first refusing to give his blood and hair samples to the police, Vijender Singh has reportedly provided the Haryana police with his blood samples for testing.
Earlier, reports suggested that the Olympian medallist had accepted to provide the samples on the condition of them being tested by an anti-doping agency and not the police.
However, according to a source the boxer has finally given his blood sample to the police.
On Monday, Vijender was called by the Punjab police for questioning after his name cropped up in the Mohali drug haul wherein 130 crores worth of drugs were recovered.
His friend Ram Singh during investigations revealed that along with Vijender, he had mistakenly consumed drugs thinking them to be a food supplement. His samples have already been sent for examinations.
