Bangalore, 17th April: Karnataka Home Minister R Ashok has confirmed that the blast outside the BJP office in Bangalore on today morning. Four persons were injured in the blast and have been rushed to nearby hospitals.
Panic spread in Bangalore on Today morning after a car parked near the BJP office in Malleswaram exploded into a plume of smoke and fire.
Although, there is no official word on the exact nature of the blast near the BJP office, some reports claimed that it was a car gas cylinder explosion.
TV visuals depicted that a number of vehicles, including two cars, were completely gutted in the fire that followed the explosion. A bus passing by was also hit.
Fire brigade officials have doused the fire even as all top police officials, including the police commissioner, are at the spot to ascertain the nature of the blast – there are not ruling out anything.
The entire area has been cordoned off. Multiple forensic teams are at the spot and are looking for clues. A team from National Investigating Agency (NIA) is also expected to arrive shortly.
