Mumbai: Senior BJP leader and MP Gopinath Munde has claimed that he had spent 8 crore rupees during his 2009 Lok Sabha election. On Thursday Gopinath Munde said in a function while defining the increasing in cost of contesting election that he had spent eight crore rupees in 2009 Lok Sabha election and in his initial days of politics, he had spent 29,000 only for contesting his first assembly election in 1980. Gopinath Munde is a MP from Beed and deputy leader in Lok Sabha from BJP.
Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi and former BJP chief Nitin Gadkari were also present in this function when Munde justify the price hike in contesting election.
