Lucknow: A headmaster of a primary school had been has been suspended in the midday meal case in which 11 students fell ill after consuming it. Police official said that Ramvir was suspended on Sunday by district authorities.
A show cause notice was also issued by the district authorities to Gram Pradhan Jogender Sain in connection with the incident. It is known as Gram Pradhan is the committee chairman responsible for supplying midday meals.
Over 11 students of a government run primary school fell ill after consuming the midday meal at Lusana village in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh on 20 July. K K Singh, Basic Shikha Adhikari said that an inquiry had been ordered in to this incident.
It is also known that it is not the first case of irregularity in midday meal. 23 students died after consuming contaminated midday meal on last Tuesday in Chhapra district of Bihar and 34 students also face gastritis problem after drinking contaminated water in school in Nashik.
