Mumbai: A senior freelance photojournalist Gajanan Ghurye(58) had allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Central Mumbai due to nagging health problem.
Deputy Police Commissioner D Kulkarni said that family members of Ghurye had found him hanging with ceiling fan on the third floor of his home ‘Sia Charan’ apartment in Dadar’s Shivaji Park.
Kulkarni said that Ghurye was ill from some time and this might be the reason behind his suicide. A case has been registered at the Shivaji Park police station and further investigations are on. Gajanan Ghurye was a political photographer and had covered several major political events.
