New Delhi: South Korean manufacturer LG is all set to launch its G2 smartphone in India on September 30. The device was globally unveiled last month .LG has already sent out press invites for the September 30 launch event. The company has also posted several Facebook posts stating that G2 will arrive in India soon. LG is expected to price G2 between Rs 40,000-45,000 in the market. Most top smartphones launched in the country also fall in this price bracket, but some can be purchased for approximately Rs 35,000. This smartphone competes with handsets like HTC One, Apple iphone 5, Sumsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z, Nokia Lumia 925 and Black Berry Z10.
This week, the country saw the launch of two other top-end smartphones – Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z1.The LG G2 has a 5.2-inch full HD screen that is slightly bigger than the 5-inch display that rivals like Galaxy S4 and Xperia Z have. This smartphone runs on the 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset and comes pre-loaded with Android 4.2. LG G2 has a 13MP rear camera, 3,000mAh battery and 2GB RAM. For connectivity, it comes with 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, infrared and micro USB 2.0.Its most unique feature is its design, which departs from the usual layout of hardware keys seen in all smartphones. Instead of Power/Lock and volume keys on the sides or top, this phone has them on the back panel, just below the camera. It also has dedicated graphics memory, which is likely to help improve battery life.
