New Delhi: Last week, aap Party Leader Arvind Kejriwal had said to News Channel Today that he will write to Sheila Dikshit officially and invite her to participate in a public debate ahead of the Delhi assembly elections. Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit had said to News Channel in an interview that she was willing for a public debate with Arvind Kejriwal. The Delhi CM Shila Dikshit had said, “Let Arvind Kejriwal write to me officially, laying out the format and the terms and conditions and I will look into these. I am not shy of a political debate. I have debated with Sushma Swaraj in the past. Public debates are healthy in a democracy and Arvind Kejriwal has done the needful and penned down an official invitation for a debate to the Delhi CM. and in his letter, Kejriwal has said that all candidates contesting elections should have a debate in front of the public, where the public asks questions and the candidates answer. AAP party Leader also said that the debate should not be held inside any TV studio but a place like the Ram Lila Maidan so that the people of Delhi can be invited.
