New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi seems to be at back foot after giving its controversial remark over ISI. Rahul Gandhi had loose support of its own party on his comment on Muzaffarnagar riots.
Sources claimed on Saturday that Home Ministry has nothing to do with the remarks. Sources said the Ministry of Home Affair did not pass on any such information of approach of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence to victims of the recent Muzaffarnagar riots for recruitment in terror modules to the Uttar Pradesh government. Even the state government was not aware of any such intelligence inputs.
Notify that Rahul Gandhi had claimed that Pakistani intelligence agencies were trying to lure some victims of the Muzaffarnagar riots into joining terror while addressing a rally in Indore earlier this week.
The Congress scion had claimed that the information had been given to him by an intelligence official that the ISI had established contact with a group of 10-15 Muslim youngsters, whose kin were killed in the riots.
Home Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Kamal Saxena too had denied about any such interference of ISI.
Gujarat CM and BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi has demanded that Rahul reveal the names of the Muslim youth approached by the ISI.
This comment of Congress vice-president had been even remarks as “most unfortunate” by muslims also.
