New Delhi: The district administration gave conditional permission to Narendra Modi’s rally which has been scheduled in Bahraich to hold the meet on Friday.
The district administration had issued clearance with certain conditions after midnight last night following a meeting with BJP district president Gulab Chandra Shukla. It is known that district administration had earlier not given permission for the rally due to security reason.
District Magistrate Kinjal Singh had earlier not issued permission for the rally saying the party organizers had not made preparations according to the security norms of the Gujarat Chief Minister.
City Magistrate Hari Ram Singh said that BJP leaders have been asked to get the helipad prepared on Thursday itself and get it cleared by the security agencies.
The organizers of the rally have also been asked to extend the cordoned off area of the dais from four meters to seven meters.
State chief spokesperson of BJP, Vijay Bahadur Pathak alleged that “This was done for rallies in Kanpur and Jhansi. SP Government in the State is wary of the popularity of Mr. Modi.”
