Arvind Kejriwal sworn-in as Delhi’s seventh CM

New Delhi:  It is a day that will make it to history in the politics of India as Aam Aadmi Party leader Kejriwal, a political novice becomes Delhi’s youngest chief minister. In Delhi, huge crowds of people gathered at the Ramlila Maidan to watch Arvind Kejriwal being sworn in as the seventh chief minister of Delhi.

After a lot of confusion due to the hung verdict in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party has stepped up with support from the Congress to form a government in Delhi. As the youngest CM of Delhi, a political novice and the leader of a minority government, Kejriwal faces many challenges But the new Delhi CM looks set to prove everyone wrong like he did in the polls where he managed to defeat Sheila Dikshit in a constituency from which

Kiran Bedi tweets, In all ruling chief minister of India, Kejriwal is the fourth youngest after Hemant Soren (Jharkhand), Akhilesh Yadav (UP) and Omar Abdullah (J&K). Interestingly, Kejriwal’s age is far above the national average age of all CMs in India, which stands at 60.96.

Being a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Kejriwal has now joined the league of well educated CMs like Manmohar Parrikar, Omar Abdullah, Prithviraj Chavan and Akhilesh Yadav.

Kejriwal and 6 other AAP MLAs arrive at Ramlila maidan and Manisha Sisodia and 5 others shuttle from Barakhamba metro station to Ramlila maidan in a Tata Aria SUV. Kejriwal expected to take a shuttle from Barakhamba metro station to Ramlila maidan. DMRC stops train carrying Kejriwal at Barakhamba station for a longer duration so the leaders can alight. No police personnel at Kaushambi metro station.
Six Aam Aadmi Party MLAs Manish Sisodia, 41, Rakhi Birla, 26, former lawyers Saurabh Bharadwaj, 34, and Somnath Bharti, 39, architect Satyendra Jain, 49, and businessman Girish Soni, 49  will board the metro train with CM designate Arvind Kejriwal from Kaushambi metro station.

 

Many people reached at Ramlila Maidan grounds and the ground is almost full with people who have come to see Arvind Kejriwal’s historic swearing-in ceremony. A large number of people have gathered at the Kausambi Metro station to see Kejriwal.

 

Kejriwal said, we seven ministers won’t run Delhi government, but 1.5 crore people would run it
we don’t have a magic wand, don’t have solution to all problems, but if we come together we can solve all problems. We can’t fight this alone, but 1.5 crore people of Delhi can fight corruption together.  It’s not we who have taken oath today; it’s the people of Delhi who have taken oath, Kejriwal Said.

Nearly 1,600 policemen have been deployed in and around the spruced-up Ramlila Maidan for security. CCTV cameras have been installed at more than 20 locations at the venue. Police commandos and bomb squads have also been deployed, along with anti-riot police and vehicles.
