New Delhi: Rupee had recovered its position by 13 paisa against dollar in trade market at Interbank
Foreign Exchange market on increased selling of the US currency by exporters and banks on Friday.
Strengthening of the euro against the dollar overseas and higher opening in the domestic equity market
and also supported the local currency, said Forex dealers.
The rupee had lost 37 paise to end at a more than three-week low of 62.16 against the dollar on
Thursday on month-end demand for the U.S. currency from importers and banks.
However, the BSE benchmark Sensex moved up 97.40 points, or 0.46 per cent, to 21,171.99 in early
trade on Friday.
