Time of six weeks given to AP Assembly to decide over Telangana

TelanganaHyderabad: The time of six weeks had been given to the Assembly of Andhra Pradesh to make a decision on the formation of separate Telangana state.

President Pranab Mukherjee, last night, suggested this time limit when he remitted the bill back to the Union government to be on passed to the AP legislature, sources claimed.

The speaker of Andhra Pradesh Assembly, N Manohar had been informed and the bill will be now sent to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly as the winter session of the state legislature begins from Thursday.

The President had sought legal opinions before sending it to the state Assembly for its approval.

The Chief Minister of state N Kiran Kumar Reddy had already revolt and said in a public rally that he would not allow state to be divided. Notify that CM of Andhra Pradesh belongs from Congress.

State CM said, “We will see how the bill is passed in Parliament. United Andhra Pradesh is not just a slogan, it’s our policy.”
