New Delhi: Senior officers of Police had swung into action and suspended three policemen over beating the civilian at Red Fort after the news had came in media and Delhi Police criticized at all platform.
Notify that accused policemen were posted at the Civil Lines police station. A departmental inquiry has been ordered into the incident which will be headed by ACP level officer.
Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi had strongly reacted over the incident and said that police brutality will be strictly dealt with.
He said, “We will not tolerate any such incident. We will inquire about this video.”
Notify that someone had uploaded a video 12-day before on Youtube in which two Delhi Police officials are shown beating up a man. The video shows the constables beating the man near Lal Quila in north Delhi.
