New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party has released a video which shows that the African women exchanging drugs. The party said that the video showed that AAP leader and Law Minister Somnath Bharti did nothing wrong.
Notify that Bharti had conducted a raid in Khirki extension and accused some Ugandan women of being involved in prostitution and drug trafficking.
“There were rumors that the AAP volunteers caught those foreign women whereas they were caught by the police. Video itself is the proof as it shows exchange of white powder inside the car,” said AAP spokesperson Dilip Pandey.
The Ugandan women continue to stick by their statement. One of them said, “Being black is a problem. They used racist remarks.”
Meanwhile there was high drama at the Delhi Commission for Women as Bharti failed to appear and sent his lawyers who got into a heated exchange with the office bearers earlier on Friday.
“Bharti’s lawyer misbehaved and shouted at me. I am going to complain to the Lieutenant Governor,” said DCW chief Barkha Singh.
Lawyer of Law Minister Rishikesh Kumar said, “We were not bring allowed to be heard.”
Meanwhile, BJP leader Vijay Goel said, “BJP will keep protesting till Somnath Bharti is removed from his post.”
