New Delhi: IBN 7’s Managing Editor Ashutosh and veteran Social Activist Medha Patekar are all set to join newly political outfit Aam Aadmi Party, as the former has resigned from the channel
Now senior editor and one of the best known faces on Indian TV, Ashutosh has formally announced that he has quit his job and decided to join hands with Arvind Kejriwal and company. Ashutosh is the latest in a long list of professionals who have announced that they will be joining AAP.
The Aam Aadmi Party has contacted noted activist Medha Patkar to join the party. Patkar, who is a convener of the National Alliance of People’s Movements and leads the Narmada Bachao Andolan for the rights of the people displaced by the Sardar Sarovar Project, is reported to have responded positively.
Patkar confirmed to news channel AAP had contacted her to join the party. The NBA leader wields considerable influence in the tribal and rural belt of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. As convener of NAPM a conglomeration of several NGOs too she has led several movements on land and water issues.
