New Delhi: Two boys from the North East were allegedly beaten with sticks last night at a south Delhi neighbourhood, days after the death of Nido Tania in what his friends described as racist attack.The boys, who belong to Manipur, were allegedly attacked at Madangir in south Delhi by a biker.
One of them is reportedly in a serious condition at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The incident surfaced on a day the autopsy report of Nido confirmed that he died as a result of the attack on him by shopkeepers at the Lajpal Nagar market on January 29.
Nido, 20, was found dead in his bed hours after he was allegedly beaten by a shopkeeper and a few others, when he stopped for directions. His friends say the men ridiculed him for his blonde hair and shouted racist slurs at him, which triggered a fight.
