Panipat: A youth had been taken in custody who had slapped the Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda. CM Hooda was riding an open jeep, in full public view in Panipat on Sunday when the whole incident happens.
Bhupinder Singh Hooda had gone to Panipat to inaugurate and lay foundation stone of various projects.
A youth identified as Kamal Mukhija broke the security ring and slapped the Chief Minister as Maruti Gypsy of Hooda was making its way through the crowded places.
A senior police officer said that the youth was suffering from depression and immediately detained.
The officer also said that a case had been registered against him under various sections of the IPC.
