New Delhi: The nation today remembered former PM Rajiv Gandhi on his 23rd death anniversary.
President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh along with the late leader’s wife, Congress president Sonia Gandhi paid floral tributes to the departed leader at his memorial here.
Rajiv Gandhi’s son Rahul Gandhi, daughter Priyanka and son-in-law Robert Vadra were also present on the occasion. Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated May 21, 1991 in Tamil Nadu’s Sriperumbudur by Tamil Tigers while campaigning during the general election.
