New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday for the first time after he assumed the country’s top office.
She is expected to discuss several issues related to Gujarat with Modi, including installation of gates on the Narmada dam.
The 73-year-old is a close aide of Modi and was the Revenue Minister of the state before being appointed as the first woman chief minister of the state.
She was also a minister in the government of Modi’s predecessor Keshubhai Patel. A school teacher by profession, she had left her job to join politics.
Anandi Patel is also scheduled to meet Vice President Hamid Ansari today evening during her visit to Delhi.
