New Delhi: the APP today is holding a National Executive Council meeting to discuss the issues related to the resignations submitted by the party’s top leaders recently. the issue of rift between senior leader Yogendra Yadav and party’s convenor Arvind Kejriwal is likely to be discussed on priority in the meet, Report said.
Yadav, known to be a key strategist, had written to the Political Affairs Committee after his resignation from it charging the party with “falling prey to personality cult” and that the decisions taken reflected the wishes of the party chief. He described Kejriwal as a supremo.
Interestingly, senior party leader and Kejriwal’s close aide Manish Sisodia hit back at Yadav accusing him of targeting Kejriwal and making internal matters public. Moreover, there are also reports that another AAP leader Anjali Damania may be sent to convince former leader Shazia Ilmi to rejoin AAP.
“There is no rift in the party. There are bound to be problems and those will be discussed to find a correct solution, said party leader and senior advocate Prashant Bhushan.
