New Delhi: The national convener of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal had declared that his party will contest only in Delhi Assembly elections and not in other four states where elections are scheduled in 2014.
The other four states where elections will held this year are Jharkhand, Haryana, Maharashtra and Jammu & Kashmir.
Arvind Kejriwal said, “We will put all our energies in Delhi. We have no intention to contest any state polls prior to Delhi.”
Notify that AAP has urged Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Najeeb Jung, to dissolve the assembly and announce the polls.
However, Jung is yet to take a decision on it. Kejriwal had later alleged that Najeeb Jung was working at the behest of BJP.
Kejriwal said, “What can Lieutenant Governor do? BJP will remove him if it doesn’t like the decision taken by him, as they have sacked other governors. The LG will decide as the BJP dictates.”
