New Delhi: MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party RP Singh had slapped a defamation’s legal notice of Rs 1 crore against Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal for “mental agony, harassment” after Kejriwal had accused BJP of resorting to horse-trading for the formation of government in Delhi.
Singh said, “He (Kejriwal) had alleged that we (BJP) are trying to buy the support of MLAs and have offered Rs 20 crores each for it. These are baseless allegations. He had tweeted that BJP is trying to buy Congress MLAs. Does he have any proof? He can’t fool the people of Delhi by making such baseless allegations.”
Singh had asked AAP’s convener to tender a public apology to him within seven days for his “false and defamatory” allegations.
He also said, “I have asked Kejriwal to pay Rs. one crore for the mental agony, harassment and defamation caused to me.”
Singh said, “If Kejriwal fails to do so, I will move court and file a defamation case against him.”
Notify that Arvind Kejriwal in his recorded message blamed BJP to indulge in horse-trading which is expected to use by AAP to reach out to people by phone calls and radio advertisements.
