Mumbai: A year ago, at politician Baba Siddiqui’s iftar party, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan made headlines when they hugged in front of a barrage of cameras. History repeated itself on July 6, when the two embraced again at the same event, this time for a little longer, and were even seen chatting and laughing.
Salman reached the party held at a suburban five star hotel around half an hour after Shah Rukh. When he spotted Salman, who looked like he was walking towards him, Shah Rukh got up, and the stars hugged each other.
Incidentally, SRK was sitting with Salman’s father, Salim Khan, chief minister Prithviraj Chavan and politician Sushilkumar Shinde, among others. Later that evening, Siddiqui initiated another meet between both actors by holding their hands and bringing them together.
While leaving the event, Salman ensured that his father could make a quiet exit, before the photographers mobbed him. We met Salman who was in a rather chatty mood at Mehboob Studio (Bandra) later the same night, and asked him about his meeting Shah Rukh. He said, “It was great. It was really good [meeting him]. He’s a good guy, I like him… I’ve always liked him.”
The music of Salman’s film Kick was recently released and when asked how he picks the songs for the soundtrack, he said, If I like the tune, I select it.
