Mumbai: Shiv Sena had not been seen in the mood to apologise over the controversy of force-feeding of Muslim caterer during Ramjan fast. In its mouthpiece Saamna, Shiv Sena had alleged that its lawmakers were served “rotis which are like rubber”. Saamna had also suggested that the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Prithviraj Chavan and other officials should be forced to feed such rotis.
It also accuses the Maharashtra government of giving a “political and religious twist” to what the Sena calls its protest against poor food and “pathetic living conditions” in the state government’s guest house in Delhi.
It also warns, “It will be history if Maharashtrians are insulted in Delhi. Shiv Sena will never tolerate this. This is not just anger, it is a movement.”
Sena also claims that its MPs had no idea that the supervisor was a Muslim man and was fasting. In its editorial in Saamna, it said, “It wasn’t written on his head from which religion or region he belongs to.”
