Dehradun: 19 died after heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand in last 24 hours. A heavy rainfall which carries landslides and house collapse leads to disaster in Uttarakhand.
Reports claimed that deaths have been recorded in Yamkeshwar, Pauri and Landsowne Tehsil (14 killed), 2 people have reportedly been swept away in Dehradun. One death has been reported in Pithoragarh.
MeT department had predicted more rain in next 48 hours in state. A flood alert had been issued to the villages situated within close to rivers by the state government.
Landslide threats looming large forced the Chardham pilgrimage to be temporarily suspended.
