Rohtak : Two minor girls had committed suicide on Tuesday after they had being harassed in Haryana’s Rohtak.
They had mentioned in her suicide note that they took this step after being harassed by some youngsters. The girls, both higher senior secondary students, have also reportedly given details of the accused in the suicide note.
The two girls wrote, “The situation in Rohtak has turned very bad. For the last three months, we were being harassed by boys. They would trail us till our house giving rise to the spread of rumours. I request police to take strong measures or else many more girls may have to end their lives to end the harassment. We have done nothing to shame our parents whom we love very much.”
“Action must be taken against the culprits to prevent such incidents,” said father of girls.
District Police said, “According to the suicide note, they ended their lives as they were being harassed by a boy named Lokesh and his friends. If their father had approached the police way ahead in time, we could have helped.”
Notify that no arrest had been made till now.
