Jammu: Pakistan to release the Indian BSF jawan today who had been swept away to Pakistan by high current of the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Rangers of Pakistan had been agreed to release BSF jawan Satyasheel Yadav at a flag meeting sought by BSF officials yesterday.
Sources said that Yadav would be released at around 2:00 PM. He hails from Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh.
Yadav is a part of a water patrol party of the BSF in Akhnoor area of the international border he was swept away in the river after their motorboat developed a mechanical fault on Wednesday.
Sources said, “While three of his colleagues swam to safety, Yadav was carried to the Pakistani side by the powerful current of the river.”
