2 Indian-origin leaders elected as Member of Parliament of New ZealandWellington: Two Indian-origin leaders had been selected as the Member of Parliament in New Zealand. The two selected MPs of New Zealand are Mahesh Bindra and Paramjeet Parmar. Parmjeet Parmar has been elected to the New Zealand Parliament as a representative of the ruling National party while Mahesh Bindra has made his way to Parliament as representative of the New Zealand First party.

The National Party, led by Prime Minister John Key, achieved 48.06% of the total votes cast from 47.31% in 2011. His party had registered victory over 61 Parliamentary seats of 121 seats in New Zealand.
