New Delhi: Army Chief Dalbir Suhag had cancelled his 4-day trip to Bhutan as Chinese troops had standoff across Line of Actual Control. His trip was to start from Tuesday.
Notify that People’s Liberation Army of China had added seven new tents within Indian territory on Sunday. Chinese troops are showing no signs of withdrawing despite repeated warnings by the Indian Army as the standoff enters 12th day.
Over 50 Chinese soldiers had entered Chumar on Saturday just few days after 100 troops were reported to have crossed into the Indian territory.
The standoff continues despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi raising the border issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his recent visit to India.
In fact Jinping has asked the Chinese Army to be ready for a regional war. He has also ordered the Army to ensure a smooth chain of command and implement all decisions from the central leadership.
Xi said, “The headquarters of PLA forces must have absolute loyalty and firm faith in the Communist Party of China, guarantee a smooth chain of command and make sure all decisions from the central leadership are fully implemented. The headquarters of all PLA forces should improve their combat readiness and sharpen their ability to win a regional war in the age of information technology.”
