New Delhi: Leader of Aam Aadmi party Ashutosh had said that it will be unfortunate if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) form government in Delhi. He claimed that it would be equivalent to making a joke of democracy.
Ashutosh said, “It will be unfortunate if the BJP is called to form the government, it will be equivalent to making a joke of democracy. The Lt. Governor perhaps does not know the constitution. Democracy is not run by the will of the MLA’s but by the will of the people.”
He also said, “I have already said that the Narendra Modi wave is over and that is why BJP is running away from elections in Delhi. People have come to know that whatever Modi had promised was false.”
Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung had reportedly sent a recommendation to the President to invite the BJP, which has the highest numbers in the Delhi Assembly, to form the government in the capital.
Notify that Delhi is under the President’s rule since February 17, 2014 after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had resigned from his post.
