Akshay Kumar (born Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia on September 9, 1967) is an Indian film actor,producer and martial artist who has appeared in over a hundred Hindi films. He has been nominated for several Filmfare Awards and has won twice.
Akshay apparently made a 7 second appearance in Mahesh Bhatt’s film ‘Aaj’. His presence obviously went unnoticed. ‘Saugandh’ gave Akshay hi first break in Hindi films. But it was with ‘Khiladi’ in the subsequent year that Akshay garnered the much needed attention. And since then, he was offered an avalanche of films with the Khiladi theme and thus emerged the undisputable Khiladi of Bollywood.
With no Godfather or guide in the industry, Akshay managed to create a niche for himself. He is now one of the heavyweights and a brand. Akki is married to Tina Khanna (Twinkle) daughter of India’s first superstar- Late Rajesh Khanna- and Dimple Kapadia. He has a son named Aarav and daughter -Nithara.
