New Delhi: On the back of global downward trend in international prices of cooking gas, the price of non-subsidized cooking gas has been cut by Rs 19 per cylinder for domestic use and Rs 32.50 per cylinder for commercial use. A 14.2kg non-subsidized LPG cylinder will cost Rs 901 in Delhi from Sunday compared with Rs 920 currently.
Meanwhile, the three oil marketing companies have slashed the price of petrol by Rs 1.82 per litre effective from midnight Saturday. Petrol in New Delhi will now cost Rs 68.51 a litre from Sunday compared with Rs 70.33 currently.
Diesel price was, however, raised by 50 paise a litre, excluding local levies, since a gap still remains with its production cost. After including VAT, the total increase would come to 57 paise with the fuel costing Rs 58.97 a litre in Delhi, up from Rs 58.40.
