Bhubaneswar: A mini truck had hit a roadside tree in Nabarangapur district of Odisha which causes death of 11 people. Mini truck was carrying these 11 people, said police officials on Saturday.
40 injured in the accident which took place Friday night in a hilly and forested area near Jharigaon, over 700 KM from state capital Bhubaneswar.
Police officer GN Manipatro said that the vehicle with over 50 people on board was on its way from Dabugaon to Chandahandi.
D. K. Gamango, Inspector-In-Charge of Chandahandi Police Station said, “Victims were belonging to an opera party which was scheduled to perform at Chandahandi. But unfortunately, the driver lost control over the vehicle which fell from a height. Eleven persons were killed in the accident.”
