Patna: Police had booked six people and one had been arrested for killing a JD (U) leader and party’s state general secretary with minority wing over business rivalry at Laheri area of Nalanda district of Bihar on Sunday.
Incident took place on Sunday morning when JD (U) leader – also a fish businessman – Munnavar Alam Raain, had been going to fish market from his Sohsarai residence. Two people on a motorcycle overtook his bike and fired five bullets at him. The JD (U) leader was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital. He died on way to PMCH, said Police.
OP Singh, SHO of Laheri police station said, “Primary investigation suggests business rivalry. Case had been lodged against six people and one had been arrested.”
