Burdwan: Police has identified two more suspected terrorist hideouts in Burdwan. Police said suspected had been hidden within a kilometer radius from the site of the blast that took place on Thursday.
Police said that the first hideout was a rented house in the Baburbag area in the outskirts of Burdwan town which was inhabited by four people – two men and two women. All four inhabitants are yet unidentified. The house had been rented a couple of months ago.
All these four had been missing from the day of blast and evidences of burnt documents have been found outside the Baburbag house.
The second suspected hideout is at the Lashkardighi area of Burdwan town. The police have sealed both the suspected houses.
West Bengal government is treading cautiously and weighing political ramifications of the move before making a suo moto decision to hand over the case to a central probe agency ever after the demand for having an NIA probe into the October 2 blast at a house in Burdwan in West Bengal.
