Mumbai : Reality show Bigg Boss is a hotbed of aggression where tempers fly and insults are exchanged almost minute by minute. However, a drama of the most offensive sort has been unfolding off-screen and involves the daughter of contestant Puneet Issar.
On her Twitter account, actor-filmmaker Puneet Issar’s daughter Nivriti recently tweeted a rather insensitive tweet about her father’s co-contestant inside the house, Karishma Tanna. Nivriti tweeted, ” @BiggBoss @karishma_tanna did her father die a natural death? Or did he kill himself for having a daughter like her who has no sense?
Puneet Issar, best known for playing Duryodhan on TV’s Mahabharat many years ago, has been daggers drawn with fellow contestant Karishma Tanna on this season of the show. Now, cudgels have been taken up on his behalf by his daughter Nivriti who posted this tweet directed at Karishma and her late father, to instant outrage on Twitter:
Nivriti’s tweet is now making the rounds of social media and she has found little or no support for her anti-Karishma cause. Karishma and Puneet, who has been described in the most unflattering terms by evicted contestants like Aarya Babbar and Nigaar Khan, have repeated engaged in slanging matches on the show.
This season of Bigg Boss has already seen moments of high drama with host Salman Khan storming off after Karishma failed to find a joke funny and dissolved into tears, evicted contestant Diandra Soares planting a kiss on Gautam Gulati in full view of the world, contestant Dimpy Mahajan finding herself confornted by ex-husband Rahul Mahajan at an in-house party, and more.
