#Kiran Bedi says, #BJP can give strong, stable #government in #Delhi New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kiran Bedi, who joined the party on Thursday, today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership inspired her to join politics and she would work for a better future for Delhi.

Speaking exclusively to Media, Bedi said: I joined BJP as it’s the only party which can work for the country’s betterment and has the resources to work for development, provide employment, infrastructure and justice for everybody.

I have 40 years of administrative experience. That’s what I will give to Delhi,” she said, adding that she has been running NGOs for the downtrodden for the last 26 years, which gives her first-hand knowledge of the condition of the poor.

While appealing the Delhiites to vote for the BJP, Bedi maintained that the electorate has to decide whether it wants a strong, clear-headed, stable and experienced government. She said the BJP has all the resources to provide such governance and has a visionary leadership.

However, she kept mum when asked about whether Anna Hazare would campaign for her in Delhi polls.

Bedi maintained that she would not get affected by criticism and if someone is out with a good idea she wouldn’t hesitate to implement it.

The 65-year-old former IPS officer was inducted into the party on Thursday in the presence of BJP president Amit Shah and Union Minister Arun Jaitley, triggering speculation that she may be in the race for chief minister ship if BJP wins the polls.

Bedi was highly critical of Kejriwal, especially when he staged a dharna outside the Rail Bhavan during his 49-day-long government. She had been hailing Modi and supporting BJP through her Twitter posts since the start of campaign for Lok Sabha polls last year.
