New Delhi: Delhi police had got ready to face any situation for the polling day of Delhi i.e. February 7. Delhi police had deployed 55000 police personnel and it had been reported that senior officers have been appointed to monitor the situation.
Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said, “We will do virtual patrolling from 3900 CCTV cameras.”
BS Bassi cleared Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) allegation on the functioning of the Delhi police stating that they were working under no pressure.
Bassi clarified, “Naresh Baliyan was suspected and thus was called for questioning. We had evidence against Baliyan. We are not harassing anybody.”
BS Bassi had claimed Delhi police an independent body. He said that the organisation would never tolerate any kind of pressure from any outside body.
