Unian Home Minister #RajnathSingh says the Central government is ready for a #CBI investigation into the death of #IAS officer, #DKRavi’s , who was found hanging at his Bangalore residence on Monday.

#Delhi | #Bangalore : #HM  #RajnathSingh in Parliament said the Karnataka government has to submit its report in the case within two days. The state government had earlier denied any need for a CBI probe saying the state police is capable of handling the case.

Earlier, #Congress president #SoniaGandhi had also written to #Karnataka Chief Minister #Siddaramaiah demanding a #CBI probe in the case, which has put Karnataka on the edge with massive protests across the state and in the state Assembly.

On Wednesday, Union Law Minister and former #Karnataka Chief Minister #SadanandaGowda had met #RajnathSingh pressing for a #CBI inquiry into the death of the 36-year-old IAS officer, considered to an honest and upright administrator who had taken on the sand and real estate mafia in the state.
